Combo August 31, 2008 Andrew (Caribbean Sea) The Guitar Amplifier combo from Behringer is a very good buy, from the perspective of the Valve amplifier in the Vintager Pack. The Amp sounds great, very loud from a very small amp.Great Tube resonnance and sweet harmonics. The guitar is a little mundane in comparison, yet another strat type copy.If you like Fenders you will like the guitar. I found other guitars sound better with the Amp.The sound was a little thin from the Behringer Vintager guitar. A guitar with twin humbuckers through the Amp is absolutely classic Heavy Metal. From a purchasing perspective overall its worth it just for the Amplifier.
Great Deal July 31, 2008 C. Morrison This was a great deal for the price. The product was as promised and has offered hours of pleasure for my son.
Questionable Quality May 20, 2008 TJ (NH, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 13 year old son purchased this guitar kit with money that he has been saving for some time. He was very excited when it arrived today. This is his first guitar, and he has no experience with this instrument. After about an hour of playing with it, the "whammy bar" snapped off. I have sent an email to the company, but it doesn't seem as if this is a warranty issue, as it is not a defective part (I don't think it is anyway). My son didn't treat the instrument roughly, and I am sure that he played with it no harder than any other kid might do. It's very disappointing to think that it broke so quickly. That said, perhaps the company will stand behind it. My advice, is to make sure that an adult checks the connection when the whammy bar is attached, and treat it with extreme care. One would think that it would stand up to more than an hours use. As to the rest of the system, we really can't comment, we haven't had time to evaluate before going into repair mode.
Worth it just for the amp December 10, 2007 Richard Winters (Riverside, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Behringer Vintager Electric Guitar Package You can usually find this product cheaper than the listed [...] price if you look around online. That being said, this kit is great for the price. Sure the guitar isn't the greatest, but the amp alone usually retails for nearly the price you can find this whole kit online. I already owned a guitar and just wanted a real tube amp, so I bought this package since I was essentially getting the guitar and accessories as a freebie. If you go into it with that thinking, you'll be very happy with your purchase. I wouldn't recommend the guitar as a primary instrument, however, unless you are just starting out on guitar. It's a fine beginner type guitar.
SUCKS April 4, 2007 K. Ziemer (Neenah WI) 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
I own this starter set, and its horrible. Its ok if your just getting into guitar and dont plan to play much, but if your going to get better in the next year, this guitar wont be as up to date as you wish it was. Its constantly going out of tune, and strings break easily (lots of $$) The amp is ok, actually pretty nice, but the guitar just isnt worth it. The amp is probable $100, which means your paying for a $50-60 dollar guitar and that is cheap s***. Dont get it if you dont wanna waste your money
