Fun for the whole family August 18, 2008 D. Updegrove We purchased this for my parents in their 70s but everyone enjoyed it, even our 9 year old son. It is a wonderful way to learn more about the night sky.
Skyscout August 17, 2008 Mary Jo Taft (VA) It is GREAT! Have used it several times a week, off and on over several hours a night, since I got it a couple of weeks ago - batteries still good in it. Use it to help me align my telescope or know what I am looking at. Definately helping me learn my stars!
Celestron Sky Scout August 12, 2008 Stephen C. Dulong This is a wonderful new toy! No glitches or problems...it works just as advertised. The list price is a little high but I bought it 40% off as a "special sale item" and it is, I believe, at that price a very good deal. The GPS feature alone would cost almost as much without the astronomical capabilities.
Better than I expected July 23, 2008 R. Alexander-Reis (Denver, CO) I bought this as a present for my husband and he loved it. I was impressed with the precision and quickness of targeting a star. We also have a Celestron telescope so we may be inclined to be thrilled by things that supplement our stargazing habit. This is a nice hand held tool for quickly figuring out what you're looking at in the sky.
better with a low ratio telescope July 14, 2008 Wang Xu (SLC, UT, USA) It is a easy-using, informative tool for astronomy lovers, however, for person without sharp vision like me, I still like to observe through a 2* or 5* lens instead of just a 1* tube. hopefully there will be some upgraded stuff that can fix that disadvantage.
