Camera Review September 7, 2008 David H. Rovine Great Camera. I actually used it in the rain hiking the other day and it held up. Small, Compact, I love this camera, if anything it has many, many functions which take a little time to figure out. But the quality - video and picture is amazing.
awesome camera August 30, 2008 Bobby i got this camera to replace one i dropped in the pool. i am very happy the camera. it takes great shots and battery lasts for ever.
Great camera August 29, 2008 T. Walker (Oklahoma, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a hobbiest/pro photographer.Going on vacation I did not want to drag my large/heavy canon lens around. I am picky enough that I still wanted quality pictures. This little camera is great. The large screen is worth the money. The controls are small and a little slippery(the rotating wheel) but once you are used to it you can quickly change settings. There are many features I will most likey never use but with some creativity you could have fun with it. I had no trouble with battery life. I took around 850 pictures in 10 days so it was used a lot. I had to charge every night but it took pics solid all day on one charge. (I did not use flash very often)Get a car charger. I have a universal charger that will charge the batteries for both my cameras while on the road.
Works great, excellent value August 29, 2008 D. Krueger (Ohio USA) Works as advertised, takes great pictures and decent video. As with any camera nowadays, there are more features than I know what to do with.
SD790 is vulnerable to the dreaded 'Lens error, restart camera' August 29, 2008 Justin Elliss (Salt Lake City, UT, USA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this camera on the excellent recommendations from Ken Rockwell's site, as well as the Amazon reviews. However, upon receiving it, I got the 'Lens Error, restart camera' error and the camera is not able to take pictures. I might up the rating when I receive a new one - this one is heading back to Amazon.
