Good for 4 remotes, other features just okay May 13, 2007

I got this from Target for the clearance price of $12-something. I think the original price was $30-40. The best feature about the stand is that four Wii remotes fit nicely, all standing up in a row. That's a good improvement over just having them lying around. However, the larger compartment on the other side barely fits two nunchuks and their cords. The space for the Wii console works well enough, there's nothing bad about it, however it just doesn't fit like a glove the way the original stand does. The Wii does feel secure, and I wouldn't use it if it seemed like it would fall over. I haven't used the memory card yet. The blue skin for the remote is the first one I have owned. It is very snug, so I had to work hard to get that thing on. Then I realized I will have to remove it the next time I have to replace the remote's batteries. I do like the feel and grip of it since I have a problem of getting sweaty hands (eww...) when playing Wii Sports. It kind of makes me want to get different colored skins for all our remotes, but not necessarily this same brand. The blue wrist strap is not good because it lacks the adjustable buckle of the original Nintendo straps. It just hangs loose on the wrist--useless because it defeats the purpose of the safety strap. I like the security of tightening the strap so it can't fly off my wrist.
Overall, this stand is fine if you want to clean up your remotes a little, you want a skin, or you need an extra memory card, but don't pay too much for it.
