Once I got it installed, I downloaded the latest version off the Internet for free and away I went. The software is intuitive and offers a nice feature set. I actually like it a lot. I've tried others like MasterCook but I like Cook'n best.

I highly recommend it.

I was not very happy with this product. I spent about 45 minutes looking thru the Lite & Healthy recipes only to discover that some of the ingredient lists were not complete... words were left out of the text, so I don't trust the accuracy of the recipes. I was very disappointed in the number of recipes in this 3 CD set. I expected a lot of recipes in every category. If the writers spent a little more time proof reading the recipes and including a photo of the completed dish (only a few have photographs), they would have a much better product. The format is also disappointing because it opens too big on my 15 1/2" laptop screen and I can't grab the bottom to make scrolling and reading easier and text doesn't wrap if you make the window more narrow. I won't use this product.

I was soooooo excited about this product, it sounded good, and the reviews were very good. I tried the diebetic cd first and the video had no sound. Awhile later I was offered the chance to by a program that allowed me to watch the videos, for 10 bucks! Wait, that should be free. It closed on me many times, although there were a lot of food options.
Then I tried the vegitarian cd and there were no videos. I was very suprised that for a cooking cd there were only pictures of 17 recipies. My computor expert boyfriend and I tried to use the other features, but found the instruction book to be lacking.
I will try it again, but was very disapointed the first time and would not reccomend it.

I have a father who is diabetic and living alone, so I purchased this program in an effort to find him tasty recipies he can live with. The ability to scale recipies is excellent and only takes a couple of mouse-clicks. Customer support on this product is excellent; when I had problems upgrading (a free service at this point) the company contacted me in less than a day with a solution. My only quibble is that the nutritional database is less than complete. It is also somewhat difficult to understand how to add information to the database correctly. If you are willing to do your homework about absentee ingredients, this is a great program to have! I'd suggest going to the USDA as they seem to have nutritional information on EVERYTHING

I have tried a lot of cooking software. This is by far the best product on the market in my opinion. It's easy to use, simple to navigate, and very powerful. The company is well established and committed to supporting the product for a long, long time. They offer free upgrades off the Internet which I think is VERY cool. This is the real thing. What's more, you can't beat the price...for three CD's...it's a super value.
