Pretty good results September 1, 2008 Beejay (FL United States) I have three cats, mama cat and her two boys. All of a sudden, after three years, the mama cat decided to act mean to one of her boys. Growling, hissing and once in a while attacking. (Fortunately no blood, just lots of hair all over!) The vet recommended this product and despite some skepticism, I'm impressed! The "incidents", while not gone completely, have lessened considerably both in intensity and frequency. And.....it's much more affordable here than at the local PetSmart! I'll be buying more.
Calms my cat August 31, 2008 K. Duffey I have been using this product for some time now per a vet suggestion. One of my cats was very aggressive to my other cat. Since using this product he has calmed down significantly
Tense Tamer for Our Feline Friends August 28, 2008 Tiffany R. Zettlemoyer (Jacksonville, Florida USA) Starting at 5 months of age, our cat began urinating on our beds and in our laundry basket. We tried several things: a visit to the vet to check for an UTI, limiting his access to the soiled areas, thoroughly cleaning the soiled area, getting him fixed, and buying an extra litter box. After 3 months, the problem had progressed not decreased despite our efforts. Per our vet's recommendation, we ordered Feliway. We limited his access to all marked areas in the house for 1 month and in combination with the diffuser, he has not urinated outside his litter box in over 6 months. He is now allowed access to all areas that he previously soiled but does not seem tempted to repeat the marking behavior. I do noticed that if his diffuser is running low, he looks frazzled and sniffs around alot. This sudden distress quickly fades when the diffuser is replaced. I truly believe that the diffuser has helped my cat overcome his anxiety in our home and has discouraged his marking behavior. But be understanding on the area that the diffuser can cover. If you have a large home, you may need more than one diffuser. I have had people say that it seems a bit pricey, but my reply is that a new mattress costs alot more and our pet is priceless. Now we are able to enjoy our pet, and he is able to enjoy us as well. I highly recommend this product, in conjunction with other initial checks/balances such as feline health, has the soiled areas been thoroughly cleaned, etc (see above or consult your vet). On one final note, cat spraying/marking is the number one reason cats are given away. It is very hard for a cat to get adopted if it displays this kind of behavior. With patience and knowledge on how to correct the problem, your pet can be a welcomed addition to your home.
Cat Scratch Fever, No More August 22, 2008 Brent A. Iverson (San Francisco Bay Area) This seems to be the only product that calms our dopey cat named Gus Gus from his anxiety which leads him to use our entry welcome mat as a piddle place. Since using Feliway he hasn't had an "accident". Although the price is a bit high it's worth the cost in replacing mats as well as potential repair of our hardwood floors caused by his damaging urine. This also acts to calm our multiple cat household, helping to avoid conflicts and the always annoying scratching of the furniture.
save your money August 20, 2008 lil man's mom (Oregon) I purchased this product, hoping it would curb my male cat's desire to mark. His marking had intensified since the birth of my child. Marking had always been a part of life for my cat, but only occasionally. Following the birth of my baby, my male cat became an "angry middle child," marking up to 5 times a day! This product was to be my last hope for a pee free zone. I have been using this product for 3 months now, with only mediocre results. The marking has gone down to 2 times a day. But now he marks in front of the outlet where the Comfort Zone is plugged into! Based on my results, I would not recommend this product to anyone.
