I tend to have upset stomachs, so I take Ginger. The Ginger Altoids are great to keep in my purse when I need them.

5 out of 5 stars I think they are great!   March 3, 2007

The first original curiously strong mints date all the way back to 1780, when they were created by the London-based company Smith & Company - their charter was signed by King George III! In the nineteenth century, Smith & Company was purchased by Callard & Bowser, Inc., and in the twentieth century Callard & Bowser was acquired by the American firm Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company. But, through it all, Altoids have survived, a never-ending tradition of excellence!

Now, the Altoid brand has been enlarged to include these wonderful ginger mints. A long time ago I found that ginger helped me with motion sickness, well, imagine my surprise when I found out that these snappy little ginger mints help that out as well. Overall, I really like these candies. Yes, they are strong, and quite gingery - if you are not a fan of ginger, then you probably will not like them. As for me, I think they are great!

3 out of 5 stars Disappointing   January 19, 2007

I'm a real ginger fan, and I like most of the Altoids line, but these were a major disappointment. I agree with Mauserati below, no depth of flavor, a 'stale', flat, almost artificial note...not terrible, but I won't be buying them again. I really expected more from the Altoids brand.

2 out of 5 stars strong, but not pleasant   January 10, 2007

I bought this hoping it would have the sparkle of fresh ginger, but it tastes only of powdered dried ginger & sugar. No depth of flavor or nuance.
Some people may enjoy, but it's not my choice.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful taste   September 16, 2006

Do you crave ginger ale? Do you nibble on crystalized ginger? If so, then these ginger altoids are for you. They have a very strong ginger taste which tastes great. The taste is even stronger if you let them dissolve slowly in your mouth. I highly recommend ginger flavored Altoids!
