I've owned this club for about 18 months now. 12 loft regular shaft. I used to hit a Big Bertha by Callaway. I am a 17 handicap. This club is long and forgiving. I am in the fairway more than I was before. I'm 50 years old and a high handicapper and now hit the ball about 240 on average off the tee. This seems about 40 yards longer than with my old driver. I no longer use a 3 wood on tight tee shots. I feel more comfortable with this driver. This club has held up well. There are no signs of wear. The Head cover is well made and long. This protects the graphite shaft. The sound is distinct but the comments go away after a few long, straight, high drives. I've played about 50 rounds and am something of a range rat and the grip is not worn. This club is different looking but I would not describe it as ugly. Its bounce allows shots from the fairway. I have hit many of the new drivers on the market and feel more comfortable with this one. I'm thinking of buy more Nickent products during the off-season sales.

Not Too Bad! December 25, 2007 D. Payne (Llano, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've only hit 70-80 balls so far but I like it. I bought the RH, 10.5 degree, Senior flex. It took 10-20 balls to figure out (I'm still figuring it out) but I'm managing to hit it consistently 190-210 yards (that's good for me) and down the middle. I agree with the other reviewer on the sound - like an aluminum baseball bat, but I disagree with him on the look. I think it's a good looking driver. This club is definitely a confidence builder and it must be forgiving because my drives are much straighter than my 3 or 5 wood. My only second thought has been to wonder if I shouldn't have gotten the 12 degree for a little more height/distance.
I love my big ugly driver ! August 23, 2007 bruce rook (Houston, TX) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I hit the Nike, Calloway, and Nickent square drivers, and I liked the feel of the Nickent the best. I have the 10.5 with reg. flex shaft. This club corrects small errors, not big errors. You still have to put a good swing on it. I have noticed that an off-center hit will now end up 5 yards in the fairway instead of 5 yards off the fairway. That's what this technology accomplishes, and the Nickent does it well, for over 100 dollars less than the competition. Okay, so it's ugly (show me a square driver that isn't), and it sounds like you're hitting a double off the wall with a college basesball aluminum bat instead of a drive, but the results are what matters. I'd rather be hitting my second shot from the fairway than 8 yards into the trees. I love my Nickent.
