Product Description B.A.T.s are the perfect COBRA troopers. They never question orders, complain about the chow, shirk duty, or surrender. They require no leave time, sick pay or benefits of any kind, and they are cheap and easy to replace. On the other hand, B.A.T.s do not react very well to changes in field conditions, nor do they discriminate between targets. They will shoot at anything that moves, be it friend or foe. They also have an unfortunate tendency to burst into flames when hit from behind. Add to your GI JOE collection with this COBRA Android Trooper action figure. Outfitted for mercenary missions in robotic gear, this futuristic-looking figure comes with accessories to get the job done, spare parts and weapons.

B.A.T. is back August 17, 2008 Jon Campbell (Travelers Rest, SC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The latest version of the B.A.T. is an improvement on the original B.A.T. While not everyone likes to see things change, Joes have always evolved since their intoduction in 1982. The new B.A.T. does not have a holographic chest sticker, but its improved clear plastic chest window will not curl and peel off like the original holo stickers did. The new detachable arms look like they came from Terminator. The new B.A.T. has a detachable holster and pistol too. Price is high on the secondary market because these figures are hard to find in stores.

Not as cool as you would think July 10, 2008 Adam Stapleton (Atlanta, GA) 3 out of 15 found this review helpful
Cobra B.A.T's (Battle Android Troopers)were one of the Real American Hero toy line's more original creations back in the late 80's and early 90's, so there's a strong and dedicated following built around these guys that has continued to this day. Collectors lit up the Joeboards when Hasbro announced that it was going to release a 25th Anniversary reproduction of these Cobra robots and like many, having fond memories of the original, I too was excited to get one of these new ones. All that said, my honest opinion of this figure is less than good for one reason. The 25th repros do not include the original figures' feature of a "holographic" chest plate. The new ones only have a piece of clear plastic covering a few brightly painted scultped doodads. Gone is the mystery of the holographic sticker that you used to fawn over as a kid and thus gone is any real reason to purchase this remake. Aside from that, everything else on the reproduction is completely accurate to the original. Maybe it's just me, but when I see Hasbro starting to get cheap with the 25th anniversary line, my enthusiasm towards the toy line begins to cheapen as well. Hasbro better have some seriously good remakes to surprise us with later this year or I'm afraid that their unexpected success with the 25th anniversary line will soon fall by the wayside. I think of the impending release of the G.I. Joe movie and am reminded of the awful Streetfighter movie and I'm sorry to say that production shots of the Joe movie look almost as atrocious. I hope I'm wrong. I honestly don't trust Hasbro to create much of anything worthwhile without the close supervision of Larry Hama.
