Product Description Pre-seasoned heavy cast-iron skillet Superior heat retention for even cooking Two heavy duty handles for easy lifting 12" diameter, 2" deep Lodge Logic, 12" Diameter, 2" Deep, Preseasoned Cast Iron Skillet, Ready To Use Right Out Of The Box, No Seasoning Required, Electrostatically Coated With A Proprietary Vegetable Oil, & Cured At High Temperatures To Allow The Oil To Deeply Penetrate The Surface Of The Cast Iron To Create An Heirloom Black Patina Finish.
Amazon.com Review Pancakes, eggs, and bacon somehow taste extra hearty when cooked in a heavy cast-iron skillet. Cast iron creates superior heat retention, heats evenly, and loves a campfire, unlike flimsier pans. Fry up a mess of catfish, roast a chicken, or bake an apple crisp in this generous 12-inch pan that features two handles for heavy lifting, and two subtle side lips for pouring. While the skillet comes preseasoned to prevent food from sticking, it works best when sprayed or lightly coated with vegetable oil before use. Whether used in a kitchen or camp, this virtually indestructible pan should last for generations.--Ann Bieri

Handle is too short September 8, 2008 Borat (NJ USA) I have several cast-iron products including a wok, grill pan and a couple of Dutch ovens. I've been using them for years without a single complaint. I have a full set of All Clad stainless frying pans that are somewhat non-stick if you know how to use them. I've heard so much about Grandma's priceless iron frying pan that I had to give it a try. Compared to stainless, iron heats up slowly but keeps the heat much longer. The pre-seasoning isn't much because real seasoning takes years. This is beacuse the iron is rough and only through use become smooth. My complaints relate to the handle: First it is too short so you can't get a proper grip and second it gets hot enough to burn you (unlike stainless). I guess I'll get used to these problems and learn to appreciate the ultimate cooking surface that iron provides.
I'm Happy With It September 7, 2008 Karol K. Christena (Texas) I have been using the skillet for a few weeks and it has lived up to all my expectations. It cleans up really well and is great for browning steaks.
Great Pan August 30, 2008 Nancy Marczyk (New York) My husband loves this pan. I works really well for the Dinosaur Cookbook Recipes.
Excellent. A purchase I'm glad I made August 29, 2008 HIS beloved (San Diego, CA United States) I don't cook that often nor am I the greatest cook, so it took me awhile to buy this. But boy, am I glad I did. Just got it last week and my first two meals from it have been wonderful and super easy. Love how its easy to clean. Yes, its super duper heavy and I already have issues with my wrists, but the outcome have been worth it. Thinking about buying another!
Great purchase August 14, 2008 L. Jin (CA) I like this skillet a lot and use it everyday. It's not stick at all. The taste of food is really good by using this pan. The only problem is that it is a little bit heavy.
